Fingerprinting

As of July 26, 2021 anyone requiring a fingerprint-based background check must complete a Pre-Enrollment procedure via the Connecticut Criminal History Request System (CCHRS), https://ct.flexcheck.us.idemia.io/CCHRSPreEnroll .  Prior to Pre-Enrollment you must contact the agency (or entity) that is asking you to be fingerprinted.  They will provide you with a Service Code, which you will use during the Pre-Enrollment process.  This system allows you to pre-register, pay the required fees with a credit card (required) and obtain your Pre-Enrollment Applicant Tracking Number, which you will then take to the fingerprint location to be fingerprinted.  This process also applies to individuals who are getting fingerprinted for their Temporary Connecticut Pistol Permit.  Detailed instructions on how to apply for your Temporary Connecticut Pistol Permit can be found under the Forms section of this website.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at 860-267-9544
