A Walk with Lynn

Event Date:
Wednesday, May 25, 2022 - 1:30pm to 2:30pm

A Walk with Lynn.  Master Naturalist, Lynn Kochiss, Master Naturalist will be back monthly to help us identify flora and fauna in nature. Lynn refers to herself as “a repurposed public-school educator”. After decades of teaching elementary school, she retired in 2014 to explore what she calls “Everything Environment”. Lynn is a Project Learning Tree Facilitator who teaches children and adults “How to think, not what to think about the environment”, using the forest as a window to the world. Lynn was recognized as one of 5 National Project Learning Tree Outstanding Educators in 2013 for her work in bringing Environmental Literacy to her students, colleagues and the public. Lynn has been a volunteer for Connecticut Forest and Park Association since 2007, leading hikes, environmental walks and presenting programs for all ages. In 2015, she was certified as a Goodwin Conservation Center Master Naturalist. She is excited to share her love of nature with everyone at the East Hampton Senior Center. Our first class will be Wednesday, May 25th at 1:30 pm. Please meet at Cranberry Bog. Wear good walking shoes and comfortable clothing.
