Question: When I multiply the estimated project cost of $51,695,000 by the State reimbursement rate of 52.5% I get $27,139,875. How come this is different than the $23,352,145 on your mailer?

Answer: The $23,352,145 was calculated by multiplying the 52.5% by reimbursable expenditures only. Although the total project is estimated to cost $51,695,000 the reimbursable expenditures are estimated to be $44,480,276. There are certain project costs that the State does not reimburse for.
