January 1, 2012 Tax Bills
All persons liable to pay taxes to the Town of East Hampton, levied upon the list of October 1, 2010 are hereby notified that the second installment of the taxes are due and payable on January 1, 2012 at the rate of 25.68 mills on the dollar.

There will be no tax bills mailed out for the January 2012 installment as the tax bills sent out in July were in three part sections and now the January installment should be paid with Part B.  If a receipt is required, and you are paying in person, please bring Park B and Part c to be validated for your records.  If paying by mail, enclose Part B and Part C and enclose a self addressed stamped envelope for return of your validated receipt.

All supplemental motor vehicle taxes must be paid on or before February 1, 2012 to avoid interest (a bill will be sent for the supplemental motor vehicle taxes).

The second installment of all real estate and personal property taxes totaling $100.00 or more are due at this time and must be paid in full by February 1, 2012 to avoid interest.  Prior year taxes must be paid by January 31, 2012 to avoid additional interest.

Interest is charged on all delinquent taxes from the due date of each installment at a rate of 1 1/2%  per month, 18% per annum.  The statutory interest is $2.00.
