Facts about the Collector of Revenue's Office

We not only collect tax dollars, but also sewer assessment fees and sewer use fees.

There are 5,616 real estate tax bills, 12,849 motor vehicles tax bills, and 784 personal property tax bills.

We are in constant touch with approximately 160 banks/mortgaging institutions which collect approximately 2200 real estate tax bills in escrow.

We are one of only two municipalities in the state which sends a “consolidated” tax bill. This allows us to reduce our mailing from over 20,000 bills to about 7,000. The recipient of the bill has everything listed and one total due. This reduces long lines of taxpayers during the collection months, and errors in addition.
