BOARD OF FIRE COMMISSION
Special Meeting
April 19, 2010
MINUTES
Present: Chairman David Simko, Dr. Richard Brown, Dean Michelson, Richard Dufour and Leroy Goff
Others Present: Chief Stephen Palmer, Rich Klotzbier,
Chairman David Simko called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. at Company #1 on Barton Hill Road.
Agenda Items:
- Fire Department Boat Motor – Chief Palmer reported that they are looking at a 50 hp motor for $4,000.00 out of vehicle maintenance. It will cover all the controls and installation. A brief discussion was held.
A motion was made by Richard Brown and seconded Leroy Goff to approve the purchase of a motor for the Fire Department Boat not to exceed $4,000. Vote 5-0 in favor.
- Engine 2-12 – Chairman Simko reported that the truck is back and Mike Scranton and members of Company #2 are in the process of putting the lights on. Whalen Engineering donated $11,000 worth of LED lights. The members of Company #2 are currently working on getting the truck ready to go back into service. Chairman Simko reported that according to the finance director 2 checks were received for payment, but at this time no bill has been received from Pierce. A brief discussion was held.
A motion was made by Richard Dufour and seconded by Leroy Goff to adjourn the special meeting at 7:25 p.m. Vote 5-0 all in favor.
