Ethics Commission Special Meeting
Wednesday, November 19, 2008 – 6:30pm
East Hampton Middle School Library/Media Center

Minutes

Present:  Chairman James Scroggins, Mary Carter, David Gizewicz, John McBrearty, Mila Smith and Recording Secretary Cathy Sirois.

Call to order and Pledge of Allegiance:  Chairman Scroggins called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m.  All stood to recite the Pledge of Allegiance.  

A motion was made by Ms. Carter, seconded by Mr. Gizewicz, to seat Mr. McBrearty and Ms. Smith to fill the open seats for this meeting.  Voted (3-0).

Approval of Minutes:
A motion was made by Mr. Scroggins, seconded by Mr. McBrearty, to approve the October 1, 2008 Special Meeting minutes as amended.  Voted (4-0-1) Mr. Gizewicz abstained as he was absent from the meeting.

Executive Session:
Ethics Complaint 2008-2 Follow-Up
A motion was made by Mr. Scroggins, seconded by Ms. Carter, to enter Executive Session at 6:40 p.m.  Voted (5-0).  

The Commission exited Executive Session at 6:50 p.m.

Approval of 2009 Meeting Dates:
The regular meeting dates for 2009 will be changed to the third Wednesday of the month.  A motion was made by Mr. McBrearty, seconded by Mr. Scroggins, to approve the 2009 Meeting Dates.  Voted (5-0).

Discussion of Administrative Procedures:
The December meeting will be cancelled unless new business arises.

Adjournment:  
A motion was made by Mr. McBrearty, seconded by Ms. Smith, to adjourn the meeting at 7:05 p.m.
